Being mixed is more than an identity, it’s a lived experience. One that can be both beautiful and complex. It means navigating cultures, communities, and conversations where you often feel like you exist in the in-between. But we’ve come to understand something powerful: in-between is its own space, and it’s enough.

Our journey began when Ruby and Taylor met in college. Both of mixed heritage, we instantly connected over a shared sense of being seen and unseen, belonging everywhere and nowhere. That connection sparked a friendship, and eventually a brand, rooted in understanding, expression, and pride.

The first piece we created was a necklace: simple, symbolic, and deeply personal. It became a daily reminder of identity, connection, and the power of being understood. A piece that said: you are enough exactly as you are.

Today, Mixed. is a celebration of that truth.

We are a community that embraces complexity, individuality, and connection. Our pieces are designed to reflect the many layers of identity - made for anyone who has ever felt othered, questioned, or misunderstood. We believe in proudly wearing who you are, and never apologizing for it.
